The school encourages an atmosphere which is happy, safe, disciplined and purposeful.

The school's sports programme adds to the great sense of the atmosphere of our school, of its vitality, its values and its achievements. It forms an integral part of the overall development of our students as individuals and is considered a very important part of the life of a Laurel Hill pupil. Every student at Laurel Hill is encouraged to participate in the many sporting activities on offer. Much success has been enjoyed by the school and in particular by the students over many years.

The range of sports available to our students include hockey, athletics, camogie, tennis, track and field, equestrian and outdoor pursuits. The choice of sports offered depends on time of year.
