Junior Cycle
In Junior Cycle our students experience a wide variety
of subjects and are prepared for the Junior Certificate which takes place
at the end of third year. Subjects (for examination) are available at
higher and ordinary levels as appropriate to the individual student.
Language Studies: Irish, English, French,
Spanish, German.
Science Studies: Mathematics, Science.
Social Studies: Geography, History, Home
Economics, Health Education, SPHE
Liberal Studies: Religious Education, Physical
Education, Art, Craft & Design, CSPE, Music.
Business Studies: Business, Computer Studies.
At he beginning of year one subject options are
introduced and students(according to option arrangements) will be asked
to select nine subjects for the Junior Certificate Examination.
Senior Cycle
At the end of the third year subject options are
introduced and students (according to option arrangements) are asked to
select seven subjects for the Leaving Certificate Examination. Students
also experience a number of non examination programmes and a wide range
of extra curricular activities.

1. The subjects studied in Transition Year
include: Irish, English, French, German, Spanish, Creative Arts, Food
Science and Technology, Enterprise, Media Studies, Music/Choir, Drama,
Computing, Education for Leisure, Business, Accounting, Debating, Women's
Studies, Religious Education, Career Guidance, Physical Education, History,
Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Public Speaking, Health Education and ECDL
2. Work experience and community involvement
form an integral part of Transition Year
Leaving Certificate
Subjects
