We value initiative, responsibility, flexibility and communication skills.

Our rich and varied creative arts programme gives the students a vehicle for self expression which boosts their confidence and sense of achievement. We are proud of our success at Laurel Hill in music, drama and debating and feel that it stems from the way in which each student is valued as an individual. Every student is important and has access to all that we offer.

The main message from our Music Department in inclusivity. We offer a programme of studies which can involve any pupil in music which appeals to them. Each programme of study is properly structured ensuring progress and achievement. The d'Houet Orchestra as a whole puts on many concerts during the year, giving our musicians a platform on which they can demonstrate their skills.
 

Our school has a strong tradition of excellence in theatre studies, including drama and debating. Their exploration of characters, plots and ideas provides them with further opportunities to master their language skills and gain greater confidence to meet the challenges of a changing world.

There are also a number of clubs and societies within the school to provide further opportunity for students to develop their social and communication skills.
